Program (RETAP)
Florida’s Retired Engineers Technical Assistance Program (RETAP)
is looking for a few good people with engineering and management
experience in industry or government to provide technical assistance
in pollution prevention to organizations and businesses in Florida.
RETAP is located with the Pollution Prevention Program of the Florida
Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
Good communication
and writing skills are a must as well as being able to use a personal
computer. Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) or
Quality Systems is strongly desired, but not mandatory. These are
professional level part time positions for up to 20 hrs/week and
suitable for experienced engineers who want to make a difference
for the environment and people. Positions are throughout the state
of Florida with preference at this time for the Southeast District:
West Palm Beach – Ft. Lauderdale – Miami area. Light travel
is involved and successful applicants must hold a valid driver’s
