Communications Advisory Committee
The objectives of this committee shall be to focus on opportunities for FES to improve its internal and external public relations efforts through effective use of communications. In order to achieve these objectives, responsibilities of members of this committee shall include the following: Attend all meetings of the Communications Advisory Committee. Review past and current issues of the JOURNAL of the Florida Engineering Society. Provide comments and suggestions on past and current issues. Recommend topics of interest. Write occasional articles in their areas of interest. Promote the JOURNAL in terms of increasing distribution, expanding editorial content, and increasing advertising coverage. Solicit articles from FES members and others with expertise on engineering-related topics. Aid state staff in reporting on local chapter events. Help others become aware of the JOURNAL's purposes and needs. Review selected articles for quality and relevance. Keep staff informed on new projects, products, and events relating to engineering in Florida. Promote the advertising opportunities available through the JOURNAL. Review and make long-term recommendations on other FES communications and public relations efforts.
