Advanced Work Zone Traffic Control Course
Thank you for contacting FES/FICE regarding the Advanced Work Zone Traffic Control Course. FICE does not plan to offer the Advanced 20-hour and Refresher course in 2013.
Rules for renewal are set by the Florida Department of Transportation. Training or Refresher courses are required every four years for all persons to continue to be qualified to perform their assigned duties. Persons who have maintained current certification from an approved Provider may take a training or refresher course to comply with this procedure. If your certification lapses, you are required to retake the 20-hour course.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. For more information, please visit the Florida Department of Transportation’s website: http://www.dot.state.fl.us/rddesign/MOT/MOT.shtm.

Specifically, Section 471.0195 reads:
