FES Journal

The FES Journal is the official monthly magazine of the Florida Engineering Society. Eleven of the 12 issues feature articles on engineering practices, trends and projects; legislative activities; continuing education programs, employment opportunities; and Society events. Featured articles are written by engineers for engineers. The twelfth issue, the December issue, is the annual directory of members and contains complete contact information on each member.The FES Journal is available to FES members as part of their membership dues; non-members may subscribe at an annual fee of $50. FICE Directory & Guide

The annual Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers (FICE) Directory & Guide is designed with two purposes in mind: (1) to facilitate contact between member firms and those seeking services from consulting engineers and (2) to improve the understanding of the consulting engineering business. The Directory contains both an alphabetical listing and a county listing of all member firms with complete contact information for their main and branch offices. To assist in locating the specific services you require, there is a listing of each firm's specialty. The Directory also includes information on guidelines, laws, policies, and procedures applicable to the private practice of engineering. Reference materials include: 

• A description of professional services performed by Consulting Engineers

• Key points on how to select an Engineering Firm

• Clarification on the ownership and reuse of drawing and contract documents

• Pointers for selecting a Geotechnical Engineering and Materials Firm

• A copy of the Consultants' Competitive Negotiation/Act (CCNA)

The Florida Register 
Public Announcements for Professional Engineering, Architectural and Planning Services

The Florida Register is a comprehensive compilation of public announcements soliciting Requests for Proposals and Requests for Quotes for professional engineering, architectural and planning services from throughout Florida. It also includes international announcements from the U.S. Department of Commerce. Information is culled from major newspapers published in Orlando, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Ft. Myers, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Lakeland, Pensacola, Sarasota and West Palm Beach. In addition, we include announcements from the Administrative Weekly, Commerce Business Daily, Demand Star and state government agencies such as FDOT. FICE members receive two copies of the Florida Register as part of their membership package. Additional copies for branch offices may be obtained for $80 per year for each copy ordered.
