Course Description: H2R has been providing various geotechnical and construction services for the C-44 Reservoir, a new aboveground reservoir. This Reservoir and Stormwater Treatment Area (STA) is the primary component of the Indian River Lagoon-South project (IRL-S), part of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP), a joint effort between the USACE and the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). The project is designed to capture 65 percent of the average annual stormwater runoff in the C-44 basin. The 9.2 mile, 30-foot high reservoir component will hold up to 50,600 acre-feet, or 16 billion gallons, of water at an average depth of 15 feet.
