The Energy Committee represents ACEC-FL member firms and their private practice engineers on a wide range of issues important to engineering firms operating in energy and communicates with ACEC-FL membership on energy issues that affect their businesses. This committee will study and report on Energy related policy issues that have an impact on the consulting community.

The Member Services Committee is responsible for Membership Development, recruitment, retention, Member benefits and Affinity Program.

Establishes broad, clearly-defined objectives toward which activities of ACEC-FL may be directed; conducts continuing studies for the needs and expectations of ACEC--FL and its members; reviews proposals and recommendations of other committees when such recommendations affect long-range goals and policies; studies proposed revisions to Bylaws and advises the Board regarding the merits and effects of such revisions.

The Public Relations Committee is responsible for ACEC--FL/FICE awards programs including engineering excellence (best engineering projects), professional development (firm recognition), community service (individual), and A.W. Gilchrist (PE recognized through public office); facilitates ACEC--FL/FICE scholarship; and publication oversight for ACEC--FL/FICE Annual Directory and Guide, ACEC--FL/FICE Update, ACEC--FL/FICE Salary Survey, and Florida Register (weekly electronic RFPS to member firms)

The Structural Engineering Committee monitors local, state and national structural engineering issues that impact the business of consulting engineering in Florida. Provides the conduit for ACEC--FL member firms to address professional concerns and design related issues particular to the structural engineering practice.

Concerned with issues that impact the business of consulting engineering. This committee maintains a liaison with the FDOT, and also proposes and implements transportation-related activities and programs of interest to ACEC--FL membership.

The Water Resources Committee is a representative of Florida’s privately practicing engineers who work with water resource agencies to establish and maintain a model program of public/private partnership for the enhancement of procurement, delivery, and quality of water resources engineering services. Subcommittees include water management districts and the Army Corps of Engineers.
