Florida Engineers in Construction (FECON)

FECON Rules and Procedures

The Florida Engineers in Construction or FECON is one of the five practice sections of the Florida Engineering Society representing those members who are engaged in construction or design/construction, or an FES members whose interest is primarily in the construction field.

Any member of FES may participate in the activities of this section subject to the rules of government and operation.

FECON Award and Scholarship

FECON Individual Excellence Award
The Florida Engineers in Construction Individual Excellence Award (IEA) is presented to the nominated professional whom has made the most outstanding contribution to the advancement, improvement, and accelerated awareness of how engineers shall protect, defend and maintain the safety and welfare of the public. 

FECON Scholarship Application
The Florida Professional Engineers in Construction are pleased to announce the availability of a scholarship to be awarded for the 2020-2021 school year. An applicant must:

  • Be currently enrolled or accepted into a Florida university engineering program
  • Be in or entering his/her junior or senior year
  • Have at least a 3.0 average on a 4.0 scale
  • Be recommended by an engineering faculty member
  • Be interested in pursuing a career in the field of construction
